We may wonder if 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ ever taught about God the Mother. He did. Jesus Christ explained through the parable of the Wedding Banquet that
God the Mother would appear in our time. He starts the parable by comparing the Kingdom of Heaven to a wedding banquet.
In any wedding, there should be the groom, the bride and guests. However, in the parable, Jesus only mentioned the groom and the guests; the most important person was missing—the bride. It is characteristic of brides to appear last on their big day. In the book of Revelation, which speaks about our current time period, the bride finally appears.
The Bible says the bride has “made herself ready” since she wasn’t ready 2,000 years ago in the time of Jesus. And it tells the people of God that once the bride appears, it is the time to rejoice because we can be invited to the wedding banquet, the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus showed Apostle John, the writer of the book of Revelation, that the bride would appear in the age of the Holy Spirit. Biblically, the age of the Holy Spirit refers to our time period. Together, the Spirit and the Bride invite all the guests of their heavenly wedding banquet to receive eternal life and enter the Kingdom of Heaven (
Rev 22:17).
